Photo Removal Requests

A removal request is how a photo gets taken out of a gallery. Guests, your client, and you all submit requests the same way — nothing is deleted directly.

How it works

  1. Someone submits a request. A guest from the gallery, or you from your own dashboard.
  2. You're notified. The request appears in your dashboard and you get an email.
  3. An imgbooth admin approves it.
  4. The photo is removed deleted from our servers.
⚠️ Removal is permanent. Once a photo is deleted it cannot be recovered.

Submitting Request

Any guest viewing the gallery can request removal of a photo. You can manage photos from your own dashboard, but selecting a photo for removal submits an approval request rather than deleting it outright. This is intentional — every deletion is tracked, including yours.

Handling requests well

Removal requests are almost never neutral. They usually come from someone who is embarrassed, upset, or worried about who's going to see a photo.
